How to make a Christmas cake / wreath bundt cake

Are you on the Christmas day spirit already?

I  AM!

It is the most wonderful time of the year !  as the song says. It is the holiday I enjoy the most because it is full of color, happiness and mainly it gives me hope. It is a reminder that I am so loved, forgiven and blessed.

Also because I get to enjoy the cool weather and a piece of Christmas cake 😉

Why a Christmas wreath?

Well, everyone is familiar with wreaths and there are vastly used as decoration during the Holidays, but beyond being a decoration there is a meaning behind them and that is what brings me joy and hope.

Christmas wreaths are circular, no beginning no end, it is a never ending circle of eternal love.

The holly leaves are ever green and strong, even in harsh conditions. The pointy sharp edges (thorns) represent the thorns in Jesus crown when He was crucified.

The red berries symbolize the blood Jesus shed for us.

The pine cones well, I just like them and the bundt cake  because like they say a party without a cake is just a meeting!

For some reason I am attracted to bundt cakes during the Holidays, they looks so cute and formal. The white glaze really catches my eye right away.

What do you think about them?

I want this Christmas to be the best one in my life ( until next year), I have so many plans to truly reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and live this Christmas season to the fullest.

My plans include to observe Advent ( any suggestions?). When I was a kid ( not too long ago ….. ok, just let me think it is not too long ago ….  I am in complete denial!) we used to do some activities as part of advent, we ( my sisters and I ) would get an advent calendar from my church and color it, it even had a section to cut the figures and paste them on another sheet.

I remember one year we had to do like a mobile to hang over our bed, it was so much fun. All good memories!

So I want my kids to know the true meaning of Christmas. I will show them this video too as we do every year.

This movie is an all time favorite in my house.
