How fun it is to make cupcakes with your kids.
Baking and decorating Easter cupcakes bring the family together. My kids where so happy when I asked if they wanted to make cupcakes.
My little princess was so anxious and kept on asking me if it was time to start baking.
The idea behind these cupcakes is to keep it simple, fun, relax and teach the kids how colorful and happy life can be while working together. And also talk about the meaning of Easter.
For these cupcakes, I used a very simple buttercream recipe made out of butter, 10x sugar, flavoring and the colors. The reason for this simple buttercream is the consistency. You can make it really thick or thin depending on how you need it. Plus you don’t have to do the syrups for the Swiss meringue buttercream. Another option can be Cream Cheese Buttercream ( how delicious)
How awesome is that you can buy the decoration ahead of time. That is what I did. I bought the Easter sprinkles and the chocolate eggs and bunnies and the peeps like in a week in advance.
So I had all the ingredients ready by Saturday. I baked the cupcakes the night before, let them cool and cover them with saran wrap. In case you need a cupcake recipe, you can try my Vanilla Cake recipe and just substitute the butter for oil. Or if in a hurry use a box mix, kids will love them.
Tools used:

Tip # 233 for the grass.
Chocolate bunny (you can find them cheaper at Target)
To make the cross I simply used Nestle chocolate chips, melted them and piped them
I think that would be it for this tutorial.
