Strawberry reduction is used in so many different ways, and I had no clue.
Until a couple of years ago I learned how to make a reduction. Thanks to that, my ability to make different cake and buttercream flavors turned to the better.
The simple steps to follow and the few ingredients used, make it possible for anyone to make it.
Now this is a game changing when you add it to a vanilla cake or to a buttercream. You will be glad you added it to your recipe.
Another ways to use this strawberry reduction are:
- As a cheese cake topping
- How about ice cream topping?
- As a thin layer of cake filling
- Custom icings
- Custom cake flavors
Imagine all the strawberry reduction I could make with all the berries on the picture, I could give them as a little gift. Put them in the mason jar, add a pretty ribbon and a little card. Perfect gift for someone who likes biscuits or toast. Man… I wan a bagel now.
I have made many different reduction using fruits like, blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, strawberries….so many berries. It would be nice to try and make a peach reduction.
Now since you are adding some water to make it I could use also some spices. They way I am thinking to do it would be to make some sort of herbal or spice tea. Somewhat concentrated and the add that to the fruit reduction. I think it would work perfectly fine.
What do you thing?
Are you ready to try and make a reduction?
Well here is the video, and it is a very short one since there is not science behind it.
